Tee Shot
The crosswind is the defining factor — not the yardage. In a strong southwest crosswind, aim 20–30 feet left of the pin and let the wind bring it to center. Take the appropriate club for the wind-adjusted distance, not the yardage on the card. A confident, full swing is more reliable than a controlled, soft swing in these conditions.
Putting
The short par-3 green is fast and wind-affected. The crosswind creates drift on long putts — factor this in on anything over 25 feet. Shorter putts are manageable, but the surface is firm and true. Accept a two-putt par here and move on to the demanding closing stretch.
