Shorty's
9 holes, short irons, maximum fun
About the Course
Shorty's is a 9-hole par-3 course at Bandon Dunes, shorter and more casual than the Preserve. Playing between 40 and 100 yards, it's the ultimate short game challenge and a fun warm-up or wind-down round. The natural terrain and imaginative hole designs make every shot a creative challenge.
What to Know Before You Play
Course-specific intel for your round
- 1
Distances are deceptively short — the green contours and wind make these 40-100 yard shots surprisingly difficult. Don't get cocky.
- 2
This is the best short game practice you can get before a full round. Work on your trajectory control and landing zones.
- 3
Shorty's is typically played in under an hour. It's a great warmup before your afternoon round or a fun cooldown after 18 holes.
- 4
The hole designs are creative and quirky. Embrace the fun — this is where you can take risks and try creative shots you wouldn't attempt in a real round.
- 5
Bring only a few clubs: your 60, 56, 52, PW, and maybe a 9-iron. That's all you need.
Course Personality
“A pure short game party. Shorty's is where you free your inner creative — 40-100 yard shots that test every shot in your wedge repertoire.”
