📋Trip Notes

  • Morning rounds (7:00–7:30 AM): Dress in layers — the coastal fog and morning dew make it significantly colder than the afternoon. Bring a waterproof layer even if the forecast looks clear.
  • Afternoon wind: Wind typically builds throughout the day at Bandon. Afternoon rounds will play harder than the same course in the morning. Budget extra club selection.
  • Caddie booking: Caddies at Bandon are exceptional and strongly recommended. If you haven't booked, call the resort — walk-on caddie availability is limited in April.
  • Dining: Trails End is the main restaurant — book evening reservations. The Tufted Puffin bar at the lodge is perfect for post-round drinks and recaps.
  • Double rounds: Days 2, 3, and 4 each feature two rounds. Hydrate aggressively and eat a proper meal between rounds. The walking distance is real.
